Landowners & Farmers

Welcome to the Source to Tap Educators and Citizen Scientists portal.
One of the key aims of the Source to Tap project is to educate and empower communities to be long-term custodians and guardians of their local water sources.
Teachers and Educators
Source to Tap has produced a free-to-use 5-unit education programme, packed with resources, activities, and experiments, designed to help your pupils learn and understand more about the world around them.
As the units are self-guiding, they are suitable for home learning as well as in a classroom setting and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike!
Citizen Scientist and Volunteer Coordinators
Source to Tap has developed a series of free ‘How-to’ guides to help you plan and
coordinate a citizen science programme aimed at encouraging volunteers to monitor water quality using river flies as indicator species.

Source to Tap supported landowners and farmers by
– Investing 1.16m on 118 farms
– Weed wiping 146 acres
– Installing 76 pesticide storage units
– 55km livestock exclusion fencing
63 alt watering facilities
21 clean & dirty water separation projects
